Following the Lac-Mégantic tragedy, on the night of July 6th, 2013, customers, suppliers, staff and management at ROYER felt arraigned and expressed their desire to support the people affected.

To this end, on July 12th, 2013, ROYER created a relief fund and set up the “Mégantic Aid” campaign, which aimed to raise funds to support people directly affected and, in time, to participate in the city rebuilding effort.

Today, the company is proud to announce that it has joined the Mégantic region Chamber of Commerce relief fund to support the recovery effort of businesses affected by the tragedy. To this end, ROYER will donate an amount of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000), which will be distributed to all self-employed and small businesses touched by the tragedy. In addition to this initiative, until the end of 2014, ROYER will provide free work shoes and work boots to employees of the Municipality of Lac-Mégantic.

The company wishes to thank the Canadian workers who, by choosing to buy products bearing the “Help Mégantic” campaign logo, have contributed to the revival of the Lac-Mégantic community.
