No Hair Selfie

Over 40% of Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer at some point during their lifetime.

To help raise funds for cancer research, sports journalist, Cabbie Richards, has become actively involved in the “No Hair Selfie” campaign.

It is with great pride that ROYER has partnered with Cabbie and  contributed to his fundraising efforts.

“Les Affaires” Mission to the Far North

As part of its business mission, the “Les Affaires” newspaper organized a three-day mission in Quebec’s far north, permitting the business managers from the metropolitan regions to meet their conterparts in the northern Quebec mining industry. ROYER was the official work boots supplier of all the tour participants.

2013 Canada Games

Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie

1000 kilometres of relay cycling over 60 hours—this is what a team from RIO TINTO ALCAN undertakes each year during the “Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie” cycling tour. ROYER is proud to support the team. The funds raised by ALCAN’s team support hereditary orphan disease research and initiatives promoting healthy life habits.

2015 Greenland expedition

From June 29 to July 11, 2015, Jean-François Pouliot explored Greenland by kayaking and hiking, wearing ROYER boots. The goal of this epic expedition was to raise funds for the “Centre de Santé et de Services Sociaux du Sud de Lanaudière” foundation. The participants raised over $185,000. ROYER is proud to have financially and symbolically supported this initiative.

Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer

The teams participating in the “Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer” bring together amateur and experienced cyclists to ride between Montreal and Quebec City in two days. This event serves as a means to raise funds for the Segal Cancer Centre at the Montreal Jewish General Hospital. This year, ROYER proudly contributed in The Ride to Conquer Cancer.

Builders for change

In January 2015, all “Builders for Change” workers were provided with free ROYER work boots. This donation enabled participants to safely accomplish their mission of building essential infrastructure in the Dominican Republic.

Montréal’s food bank

Every year, “Montreal’s Food Bank” distributes more than 11 million pounds of food and grocery store products to those in need. It also provides clothing, shoes, household furnishings and other supplies needed by families in the Greater Montreal Area.

ROYER donated work boots to the food bank’s warehouse employees who load and unload merchandise received from donors. ROYER is pleased to play a role in ensuring that these people, who are doing their utmost to improve the day-to-day lives of others, can work safely and comfortably.

Lac en fête – Mégantic

“Lac en fête Mégantic” organizes various family, sports and cultural activities in the Mégantic region. Wanting to support the community, ROYER has been a “Lac en fête Mégantic” sponsor for several years.

Mégantic Aid

Through the “Mégantic Aid” campaign launched on July 12, 2013, ROYER contributed $100,000 to the Region of Mégantic’s Chamber of Commerce to support efforts to rebuild small local businesses affected by the tragedy. These funds came from the sales of boots bearing the “Mégantic Aid” logo, to which ROYER added a cash donation to reach the $100,000 target.

In addition to this initiative, ROYER provided, for a full year, free shoes and boots to the Municipality of Lac-Mégantic employees.

Operation Red Nose

Year after year, from December to January, Operation Red Nose takes to Canadian roads to ensure a safe ride home after holiday festivities during which drinking is involved. ROYER is proud to be associated with this initiative in the Lac-Mégantic region, sponsoring it year after year.

Chile 2014 project

In 2014, a group of students from Montreal’s “École Polytechnique” headed to Chile to visit two open-pit mines and a laboratory. ROYER was the official work boots supplier for this project.

SERY stands for “Solidarité Ethnique Régionnale Yamaska” and is an non-profit organization in Granby, Quebec, that helps facilitate the integration of immigrants into their new community. In support of SERY’s mission, ROYER provides work boots for newcomers that are learning a new trade.

Opération Enfant Soleil telethon
