Contest Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
1.1 The "Win a Free Pair of Boots + Get 20% Off" contest (the "Contest") is organized by L.P. ROYER (the "Organizer").
2. Eligibility
2.1 The Contest is open to individuals who attend the Calgary Stampede tradeshow and are legal residents of Canada aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.
2.2 Employees, officers, and directors of the Organizer, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
3. How to Enter
3.1 To enter the Contest, participants must complete and submit the online entry form available at royer.com/stampede2024 during the Contest Period.
3.2 The entry form must include the participant's first and last name, email address, sector of work, profession, preferred boot style and size, and agreement to the terms and conditions and communication preferences.
3.3 Each participant is limited to one entry. Multiple entries will be disqualified.
4. Contest Period
4.1 The Contest begins on July 4th, 2024, and ends on July 31st, 2024 (the "Contest Period").
5. Prizes
5.1 One (1) winner will receive a free pair of L.P. ROYER boots. All participants will receive a 20% discount code via email applicable to their next purchase.
5.2 The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other items.
5.3 The 20% discount code will expire at the end of the Contest Period on July 31st, 2024.
5.4 The 20% discount code cannot be combined with any other offers, promotions, or discount codes.
5.5 The 20% discount code is only valid for purchases made online at royer.com.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
6.1 The winner will be selected through a random draw conducted by the Organizer on or before Sunday, July 14th, 2024.
6.2 The winner will be notified via email within five (5) business days of the draw. If the winner does not respond within another five (5) business days of the notification, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected.
7. Use of Personal Information
7.1 By entering the Contest, participants consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information for the purposes of administering the Contest and for internal business purposes.
7.2 Participant information will be shared with our e-commerce platform, Shopify, and our mailing partner, Mailchimp, in accordance with our existing Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
8. Compliance with Calgary Stampede Midway Programming Office Rules
8.1 The Contest will adhere to the rules and guidelines set out by the Calgary Stampede Midway Programming office, as outlined in their Free Draws and Giveaways form. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- No purchase, donation, demonstration, or sign-up is required to enter to receive the prize or giveaway.
- Giveaways are intended for advertising purposes; no third-party giveaways are allowed, including third-party coupon or ticket promotions.
- Giveaway items should not conflict with same or similar merchandise sold by other vendors.
- Giveaways cannot be in conflict with exclusive and preferred sponsors.
- Giveaway items may include pens, pencils, key chains, magnets, etc.
- Items not allowed for giveaways include food samples, knives, balloons, stickers, gum, drinks or juices (with or without branding), filled or branded bottled water.
- All draws for prizes conducted on Stampede Park must be completed prior to Sunday, July 14th, 2024.
- Prior approval must be obtained from the Midway Programming team if your draw is part of a national campaign that has a draw date after the closing of the Calgary Stampede.
9. General Conditions
9.1 The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Organizer's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest.
9.2 By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and the decisions of the Organizer, which are final and binding in all respects.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 The Organizer is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by participants, printing errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest.
10.2 The Organizer is not responsible for any injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Contest.
11. Governing Law
11.1 The Contest and these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
