RULES

CONTEST DURATION

The "Monthly Boot Draw For New Newsletter Subscribers” contest (hereafter referred to as the " Giveaway ") is organized by L.P. ROYER INC (hereafter referred to as "ROYER"). The contest is taking place throughout Canada from, February 21st 2022 to December 31^st, 2022, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (North America), at which time it effectively ends.

ELIGIBILITY RULES

The contest is open to all Canadian residents who have reached the age of majority in their province, territory, or state of residence. Neither ROYER's employees and representatives, nor participating retailers, partners, suppliers, nor any other contributors directly involved in the contest's organization are eligible to nominate or to be nominated for this contest, including their immediate family members.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

No purchase is required. To participate in the giveaway, you must subscribe to ROYER’s newsletter during the month previous to the draw date. Nominees must live in Canada and have reached the age of majority in their province, territory or state of residence. Winners will be chosen randomly, but ROYER reserves itself the right to disqualify entries that do not meet the requirements or entries that do not designate a person for reasonable cause.

The participant who submits an entry must also read these contest rules and accept these terms and conditions. Any attempt to defraud will void all of the entrant's entries. 

PRIZE

One of ten (10) prizes consisting of a pair of ROYER boots of the winner's choice (provided that the model is sold on royer.com) each will be drawn from the monthly newsletter subscriptions for an approximate individual value of up to $350 CAD.

DRAW DATE

The draw will take place on every first Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m. at 5085 Robert-Boyd St, Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, J1R 0W8.

DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES

All entries entered will be automatically compiled on the ROYER MailChimp account and will be kept as long as the subscriber doesn’t unsubscribe, according to MailChimp’s regulations. 

At the beginning of every month, all entries will be exported to an Excel file. Each entry will be randomly numbered and a number will be randomly selected using a number generator. The generator will randomly determine 1 digit that will be associated with the prize winners.  ROYER will contact the winner by email. 

PRIZE CLAIM

Once a participant has been declared a "winner" he or she will be asked to claim their prize according to the conditions established by ROYER’s marketing department. The winners should claim their prize in the 60 days following the email announcement was sent. Failing to do so, he or she will forfeit the prize.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

DISQUALIFICATION

Web hacking is strictly forbidden. Any person attempting or suspected to attempt fraudulent participation by manipulating the security of the web system will be automatically disqualified from the contest and may be reported to the authorities.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRIZE

This contest's prize shall be accepted as described in these rules. It may not be transferred nor exchanged or substituted for another prize or its equivalent in cash, except for the condition mentioned in the following paragraph. ROYER reserves itself the right to publish the photo of the winner on its various platforms.

SUBSTITUTION

In the event that it is impossible or difficult for ROYER to award the prize, ROYER reserves itself the right to substitute the prize with another of equivalent value.

LIMIT OF LIABILITY

ROYER and its partners shall not assume and shall not be held responsible for any liability or any damages caused by the acceptance and use of the prize awarded to the participant.

WARRANTY

The winner of the prize accepts that the only applicable warranty is the product manufacturer's standard warranty.

LITIGATION

Any litigation respecting the organization of a publicity contest or how it is being conducted can be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie for the sole purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. The contest is not managed or sponsored by Facebook or Instagram. Facebook and Instagram are in no way responsible for the conduct of this contest.
