I work for the railway and spend plenty of time walking on ballast, mud, water, plate oil and so on. This is my second pair. The first pair lasted about 16 months and are still ok to use, the only reason I changed is because of the smell. Needed a fresh pair! Never had wet feet, no break in time, very comfortable from day one. Worth the extra $$$.
